As its name indicates, File Extension Fixer is a special tool that fixes file extensions of executable files to allow users to run programs with damaged extensions. In addition, the application fixes common errors that modern malware cause in the Windows registry.
The application's interface is divided into three main areas: The top section opens files or runs programs, the middle section allows you to repair file associations while the bottom section is for system repair.
You can search for files or programs by browsing, typing their names or dragging and dropping them into the text box. You may even type or paste URL of the file you want to open if it is online. You can run the programs even before you repair their file associations.
When you want to repair file associations, simply select the extension you would like to repair. The application supports EXE, COM, MSI, BAT, REG, VBS and CMD, and you may choose to repair all of them at once by selecting 'All.' If you have only selected some extensions, then press the 'Fix selected' button.
On the lower section, you can enable system tools that malware often disable to prevent computers from removing infections. Press text links that correspond to the tools you want to enable. There are also links that allow you to download Malwarebytes Anti Malware and Ultra virus killer, which are powerful tools for removing infections.
File Extension Fixer comes in both EXE and COM versions....
