There are various reasons why you may want to change the MAC address of your Bluetooth adapter or dongle. For example, you may be concerned about and want to enhance your privacy. You may also have multiple Bluetooth dongles with the same address, or you may simply want to change the address for fun. Whatever your reason, Bluetooth MAC Address Changer will help you accomplish your objective.

The application's simple graphical user interface displays the details of your Bluetooth adapter or dongle on the upper part, including the current Bluetooth MAC address, chip maker, name and whether the adapter is supported or not.

You choose the new MAC address in the middle pane. You can either type what you want or let the application choose a random address for you. You then only need to click the 'Change' button.

However, Bluetooth MAC Address Changer lets you choose how the new address functions before you click the 'Change' button. For example, you may tick the 'Temporary' check box if you do not want to save the new address after unplugging your Bluetooth dongle. When the 'Auto reset' check box is not marked, then you will need to re-plug your Bluetooth adapter for the changes to take effect.

Please note that these features are not compatible with all Bluetooth adapters. They are only supported by the dongles using CSR chips. If you would like to restore the original MAC address later, then you need to copy it down before making any changes, as the application does not provide the option to do this automatically. If the 'Auto reset' feature fails to function, then unplug your adapter/dongle and put it back manually.
