Using EssentialPIM

The well-organized user interface gives easy access to EssentialPIM's features. We created a new database in EPIM format from where we created, stored and managed various types of data. Creating the initial database took some time, but subsequent operations ran fast. We could create multiple databases for different things, such as a contact database.

We set different parameters for our to-do lists and appointments, including location, duration, start and end times, category, priority, completion percentage and reminder. The reminder has a snooze feature you can use to postpone it.

The 'New Note' function opened a text editor that let us choose different font attributes like style, color and size. It also allowed us to insert various things, including hyperlinks, tables and pictures. The integrated spell checker helped us to eliminate mistakes when taking notes or typing e-mails. The program allows users to convert their normal notes into sticky ones.

EssentialPIM has flexible import, export and synchronization capabilities. You can push your data either in or out of Exchange Server or Outlook. You may also manage your data on the go using an iPad, iPhone or Android device. The task manager synchronizes with all popular cloud services. The program did not lock our data, and it supports popular data formats that different programs use.

We could also cross-link other items with those in EssentialPIM. For example, we could link our appointments with people we planned to meet and the tasks we needed to do before the meetings. The ability to link to external attachments helps you minimize the size of your database.

The Advanced Encryption Standard algorithm used enabled us to secure our personal information and prevent unauthorized persons from accessing it. We even encrypted data files when using the personal information manager on a USB flash storage device. Governments and different agencies highly regard the Rijndael 256-bit key used.
