The notebook editor launches fast, displaying a graphical user interface that readily gives you access to many of its functions and features. On the upper part of the program window are buttons for opening new or existing documents, saving, cutting, copying, pasting and viewing documents in different styles. For example, you can tile windows vertically, horizontally or cascade them.
Below them are buttons for changing font and paragraph attributes, checking spelling and closing current document. On the left pane are page thumbnails you can use to quickly jump to the desired page. On the right side are buttons for switching windows, inserting special characters, custom text and even emoticons, which many document editors do not support. There are also buttons for changing font options and accessing code editor on this side.
On the lower part of the window, you will see the position of the cursor, zoom factor, number of words and characters and the name of the font used. Between the thumbnail and main panes is a small pane featuring a slider for adjusting zoom level and buttons for changing paper type, viewing short-cut keys, document statistics and adjusting font size.
You can have multiple documents open at the same time, and switch among them using the button for switching windows. When you click the button, a pop up window appears displaying the open documents, and you simply click the one you want want to activate. Depending on how you open documents, they may appear as either multiple tabs or windows.
SSuite NoteBook Editor saves documents in RTF format by default, but you can choose twelve other formats. You can even save documents as plain text PDF, different digital image formats and SSuite Office presentation format.
