The RAR format's proprietary compression algorithm was developed by Eugene Roshal, a Russian software engineer, for whom it's named (Roshal Archive). Check the options you require - encrypted files will need the correct password, then click the 'Extract' button at the bottom of the interface to decompress it. The application automatically uses the name of the RAR file for the output folder, but you have the choice to select an existing folder if you choose - Extract RAR can overwrite existing files and preserve file time. The output folder will open when extraction is complete.

When you click the 'Multi-part RAR Files' button, 'Add' and 'Delete' buttons are available beside the file selection bar. Keep the files in the correct order and click 'Extract.' You can batch process using the 'Multi-part RAR Files' button to extract all the extracted archives to the same output file.

You can also use 'Multi-part RAR Files' to extract several RAR archives simultaneously, you can add all files that you want to decompress, then extract all archives to the same output folder.
